another reclaimed satchel

Crafted this lil' satchel for a good friend of mine. Used his old black leather coat. The leather was quite thin, but he assures me it is still holding up well! I doubled up the leather on the sides for better support.

vertical satchel

This is one of the favorite satchels that I've made so far. I designed a vertical satchel to fit a 13-inch MacBook Pro out of another reclaimed leather coat. I was able to incorporate much of the coat's character into the satchel design. Initially, I was not too thrilled about this project when my youth pastor commissioned me to make it for him. But as I built it, I became more and more pleased with the result.
